WHAT IS IT?

Breast augmentation is a procedure involving the placement of implants under the soft breast tissue to enhance the volume and shape of your breasts.

AM I GOOD CANDIDATE?

The best candidate for breast augmentation surgery is fairly fit and generally healthy. Meeting these basic physical requirements ensures that your body can handle this elective surgery, and that you will recover quickly afterwards. If you have recently given birth, you should be finished breastfeeding at least 1-2 months so that your breasts will have settled into their post-baby size and shape. You may be candidate for breast augmentation if:

·         Your breasts are sagging, flattened or lacking adequate cleavage or volume

·         Your one breast varies in size and shape from the other

·         You have realistic expectations of improvement and not perfection

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

A plastic surgeon will perform your breast augmentation in our surgery centre. You may have general or regional anesthesia. Following the operation, you will need to have someone take you home and help to monitor you for the first 24 hours.

HOW LONG IS RECOVERY?

Patient will need to spend two to four days recuperating. Exercise and more strenuous activities can be gradually resumed about four to eight weeks following surgery. Always speak to your surgeon regarding post-op recovery.
